Oriental rugs, wool, Berber: cleaning that respects the fibre
A hand-knotted Oriental rug or a wool Berber isn't treated like synthetic fitted carpet. Wool swells and can felt if it gets too wet, some dyes bleed, cotton fringes go grey. So every job is adapted to the fibre:
- Suitable product, measured water
Wool is cleaned without being saturated: the fibre stays supple, the rug doesn't felt and dries within a few hours.
- Fringes and edges treated separately
Cotton fringes are cleaned on their own to get their brightness back without damaging the knots.
- Dried flat, in the room
The rug dries flat, right where it is, to avoid any distortion.

Diagnosis
Fibre, dyes, stains: we look at the rug before starting.
Deep dusting
Powerful vacuuming, on both sides when the rug can be turned over, then pre-treatment of the stains.
Injection-extraction
The solution is injected to the base of the fibres and extracted immediately with the dirt, without soaking the rug.
Drying & finishing
